Shakira, who prefers to go by “Soraida,” loves to express herself through creativity and movement. Dancing makes her feel free, while crafting, drawing, and painting allow her to bring her imagination to life. Her favorite colors are white, black, red, gold, and sky blue. Soraida enjoys the sweetness of mochi. If she could have any superpower, she would choose telepathy. With big dreams ahead, Soraida is determined to graduate, find a good job, and someday buy her own house.

She is now in the tenth grade, and dance is her favorite subject.

Soraida would do best in an LDS family that has a single mom or two parents. Her caseworker notes that Soraida is open to moving; however, she feels at home in Utah and is making friends. She is open to having younger siblings in the home, but is also open to being the only child. She has significant connections to maintain following placement. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.
