DCFS Post Adoption Services gives names of trained Respite Care homes and will reimburse the adoptive parents for the costs. DCFS Post Adoption can help with family counseling for any adoptive family who adopted through DCFS or they can help with Family Preservation focus for those who are considering disrupting or dissolving their adoption. DCFS Post Adoption unit can respond within 24 hours. DCFS Post Adoption can help with adoption related family issues. They can provide family counseling for any adoptive family who adopted through DCFS or they can provide the Family Preservation focus for those who are considering disrupting or dissolving their adoption. DCFS’s Post Adoption Team works exclusively with adoption related family issues in the Southwest region. They can provide respite care for parents of foster children who are in need of a short break. They also provide resources to help find the mental health services in your area.
