The Developmental Behavioral Health Clinic, Utah State University

Developmental Behavioral Health Clinic
The Developmental Behavioral Health Clinic is located in the Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence (just west of the CPD), room 339B. We are excited to announce that beginning in the fall of 2019, we are expanding to include treatment and therapy services. The clinic plans to offer care coordination, ABA, pediatric oral-motor feeding services, social skills classes and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

Autism Clinic:
An interdisciplinary model for the assessment of children and adults with autism spectrum disorder that includes families as active participants is used. Steps in the assessment process include completion of the Autism Diagnostic Interview, Revised (AADI-R), Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS), cognitive assessment, speech and language assessment, sensory, behavioral checklists, and an interdisciplinary team staffing. Families receive an individual feedback session and comprehensive report.

Academic Clinic:
We provide comprehensive interdisciplinary evaluation of children and adults who have learning difficulties. Our process includes a diagnostic intake interview, cognitive, speech and language, math, handwriting, motor proficiency, visual motor, adaptive function, disruptive behavior, sensory and behavioral checklists as appropriate.

ADHD Clinic:
An initial comprehensive interdisciplinary evaluation of children and adults who have concerns about attention, distractibility, and learning/working abilities guides our treatment plan. Cognitive, speech and language, Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function (BRIEF), classroom observation, Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance (IVA) assessment, sensory, and behavioral checklists are used as needed.

Feeding Clinic:
Assessment and treatment of children who are experiencing feeding aversions, oral motor delay, difficulty swallowing, behavioral problems related to feeding, food refusal, poor weight gain, difficulty with texture transition as well as G-tube to oral feeding transition.
