Iron County Youth Center in Cedar City can provide immediate crisis respite for youth 10-18 years old. The services can provide respite up to 14 days, in some cases with special approval the stay can be extended. It is about a 2 hour drive and in the winter, the mountain pass may be closed. A request to place a youth at the Youth Center needs to come from a DCFS worker. The worker will need to contact the facility.
