Life Skills Clinic: Pediatric OT, University of Utah Health Care
The Life Skills Clinic is committed to creating a supportive and collaborative experience that enhances participation in life for clients with occupational challenges, life skills needs, or physical, cognitive, and mental health impairments.
Through client-centered, strength-based interventions, such as mastering meaningful movement, and pediatric occupational therapy, the Life Skills Clinic helps clients address goals ranging from basic self-care related activities to more complex return to work and life participation ones. Pediatric, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory, ADHD, and Autism.
The Life Skills Clinic also offers a variety of pediatric summer groups.
The word "occupation" in occupational therapy does not mean employment, but the tasks you do every day: What occupies your time or attention. The goal of occupational therapy is to assist you or your loved one become fully engaged in life, prepared for challenges and successes.
Occupational therapy helps people with a variety of areas including (but not limited to):
- self-care,
- play,
- work,
- school, and
- community.
Accepts Medicaid, but long waitlist.
