Youth Services' Afterschool Programs is a school-based program serving the areas of Magna, Kearns, West Valley, and Millcreek. Please see the locations tab for a list of schools served along with our Coordinator's contact information. If we do not serve your child's school, the Utah Afterschool Network lists many of the programs run throughout Utah.

Youth Services’ afterschool programs focus on academic improvement and building positive relationships through adult mentorship, social emotional learning, and character development. Certified teachers and Youth Leaders are hired to support academic achievement and provide engaging enrichment opportunities through hands-on and project-based learning. Staff members work closely with each school’s administration to meet the specific needs of the school’s population. Our programs build prosocial opportunities that reduce risky behavior and support the success and wellbeing of Salt Lake County’s youth.

Keep Kids Safe
Create a safe and positive environment for youth every day after school until 5:30 pm. The afterschool program is led by caring adult role models who provide a positive and safe environment in which youth excel academically and socially. It is critical that youth receive supervision during after school hours as this is the peak time for youth to engage in risky behaviors and juvenile crime.

Help Youth Grow Academically, Socially and Emotionally

Inspire and expand learning opportunities for students through academic and enrichment activities each day after school. Academics focuses on core content of Literacy, Math and Science. Enrichment focuses include STEM, Arts and Culture, Healthy Living, College and Career Readiness, and Character Education.
