Salt Lake County Youth Services: Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Youth Services provides a no-cost Substance Use Disorder Program that includes a Substance Use Disorder Evaluation and if needed, Standard Out-Patient treatment (1 to 5 hours of individualized therapeutic services). Referrals are made to other agencies for higher levels of care. Youth Services provides this service to youth and young adults up to age 20. There are no income or insurance requirements for this service. This program uses nationally standardized placement criteria, along with best practice treatment approach.

Each youth and their family must commit to an active role in their own recovery. Youth, families and the community are all important partners in the treatment and recovery process.

Teen Substance Use Disorder Treatment is available at Youth Services Salt Lake and West Jordan Offices.

Youth Services Substance Use Disorder Program includes a Substance Use Disorder Evaluation and four levels of treatment:

  • Outpatient – 1 to 6 hours of individualized therapeutic services
  • Intensive Outpatient – 6 to 19 hours of individualized therapeutic services

This program uses nationally standardized placement criteria, along with best practice treatment approach.

Intervention plans are individualized and may include: individual therapy, family therapy, life skills group, support group, recreational group and extensive case management services.
