Southwest Behavioral Health Center in Panguitch has a family support group that is open to any parent. It meets once a month. The mission of Southwest Behavioral Health Center is to assist clients, families, and communities in preventing and recovering from severe and persistent mental illness and addiction. They also have Licensed Professional Counselors, who do Family Focused Therapy, home-based. They use formal and informal wrap around services to help the family in whatever they need. -They also have a parenting class for parents of children 2-18 years of age. The parents would need to be clients of Southwest Behavioral Health Center for this class. -they also have a 24-hour crisis line for families and the crisis worker can try to reach a therapist for the adoptive family. They have prevention programs in Bryce Valley, Lake Powell, Escalante, and Antimony. They are psychoeducational and were designed to prevent drug use and other high risk behaviors.-Southwest Behavioral Health Center also provides after school social skills groups at both Panguitch and Cannonville for elementary and teenage youth.Southwest Behavioral Health Center is the prepaid mental health provider for all Medicaid enrollees in the designated counties of Southwest Utah.
