Transgender Education Advocates (TEA) of Utah

OUR MISSION

TEA of Utah works to ensure that transgender and gender-nonconforming Utahns are afforded the same opportunity to live, work and thrive through education, advocacy and capacity building.

OUR VISION

TEA of Utah envisions a Utah where transgender and gender-noncomforming people are able to live safely and authentically, free from discrimination, persecution, and violence.

WHO WE ARE

Transgender Education Advocates of Utah (TEA) is a trans-led, volunteer-operated, 501(c)3 providing advocacy through the education of Utah‘s political/business leaders, development of legal/medical resources, and empowerment/community building through the provision of events and workshops for trans/non-binary/gender non-conforming people.

TEA is a justice-orientated organization, operating under the conviction that change occurs when the public is educated, when the T/NB/GNC community is empowered (i.e. through knowledge, employment and a sense of belonging), and when our issues are made visible.

TEA would like to continue the work we are currently engaged in- as well as expand our geographical reach, create a robust online presence, and improve the provision of events, resources and trainings/consultation services.
