Utah Stem Action Center
The Utah STEM Action Center is a division of the Utah Department of Cultural & Community Engagement tasked with advancing STEM education best practices in Utah. It was created by a legislative directive in 2013 with a primary goal to support teacher professional development and excite students with STEM opportunities by providing effective STEM education/digital learning tools to public K-12 classrooms. This has included extensive community and industry engagement through events such as our annual STEM Fest and biennial Best Practices conferences, as well as more intimate efforts such as our popular STEM in Motion program. Along the way, we hope to increase equity and access to all Utah students, including those in rural communities, while producing a STEM-competitive workforce to ensure Utah’s continued economic success in the global marketplace.
