Mental Health Treatment Services for Children and Youth

Eligibility

Weber Human Services is currently able to provide services for children and youth who are eligible for Medicaid, who reside in Weber and Morgan Counties. Weber Human Services also provides Crisis/Emergency services for all residents of Weber and Morgan Counties.

Cost

A sliding fee scale, based on income and household size, will be used to determine co-pays for services when applicable.

The following mental health services are available through Weber Human Services, depending on an individual's need and funding requirements or restrictions:

Outpatient Services
Weber Human Services provides outpatient treatment to children eligible for Medicaid between the ages of 0 through 18 and their families. Interventions include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and medication management services.

Case Management
Case management is a method of helping children and their families coordinate and connect with valuable resources; assess and develop a service plan; monitor service provision; and advocate for child and family rights.

Family Support/Respite Care
Respite care and family support gives families of children with at risk behaviors the break that all parents need from the demands of raising a family. Short term in-home and out of home services are available.

Archway Receiving Center
Weber Human Services is a collaborative partner with the Archway Receiving Center. Clinicians have access to the 24-bed facility for youth between the ages of 12 through 18 experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems that are disruptive in the home environment. The program also offers a strong parenting component.

Emergency Services

Agency hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Walk-ins after that can call 625-3700 24-hours a day. In the event of a medical emergency, clients are encouraged to go directly to McKay-Dee Emergency Department. Licensed professionals provide 24-hour emergency services with consultation available from a psychiatrist. Emergency services can be obtained by calling (801) 625-3700 (Daytime Number and 24 Hour Crisis Line).

Weber Human Services and McKay Dee Hospital determine conjointly the need for psychiatric hospitalization.
