YouthCare: Residential Program
For 30 years, Youth Care Treatment Center in Utah has been a premier provider of residential treatment program for adolescents or teens who are struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and a wide range of mental health issues so they don’t have to fall behind in school.
Residential treatment programs at Youth Care are a dynamic and highly personalized experience that features individual, group, family, and experiential therapies. Students who are enrolled in the residential program follow a highly structured and closely supervised schedule that includes both intensive clinical interventions and fully accredited academics. The residential program emphasizes respect, accountability, and responsibility, with students progressing through a level system that provides them with constructive feedback as they develop positive behavior patterns. The typical length of stay in the residential program is four to five months.
Students at Youth Care participate in a level system in our residential programs. The students are rewarded points hourly. Points are given for proper school performance, appropriate social interactions, a good attitude, and compliance with rules. The immediate reinforcement helps students correct poor behaviors. When sufficient points are earned, students will progress and receive privileges as listed below. Parents will receive an update weekly which will include information about their child’s current level, school performance, therapy progress, as well as faculty comments.
Disorders Treated: ADHD, Adjustment Disorder, Anxiety, Autism, Behavioral Health Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, OCD, ODD, PTSD, RAD, Schizophrenia, Suicidal Ideation/Self-harm.
Tuition information will vary, as it will depend on your child’s unique needs and length of stay. By contacting our Admissions office, you will be able to speak to an admissions counselor who is more than happy to help discuss rates and other tuition-related questions with you.
Many parents prefer to finance their child’s stay through loans. Financing your child’s stay with cost-effective loans can allow you to make low monthly payments over a period of time. Loans are an attractive option for parents considering private treatment for their children. We have partnered with American HealthCare Lending to help families with the financing process.
